![]() ![]() We spoke to the concierge about alternatives for the limited dinner options, and every evening when we attempted to get food to go or in our room, there were issues and delays with the staff insisting they had to reach out to managers or the concierge to confirm the previously made arrangements.nnOverall, the hotel is decent and the staff members were sweet. The room was nice, but we did see quite a few cockroaches, including one in the sofa. The room service menu is very limited.nnWe stayed in the “new” villa area. You are only permitted to the buffet and maybe one restaurant with a small child. Lots of stairs that make stroller use a little inconvenient, and there are very limited food options with a baby. The resort is not really “baby friendly” though for those traveling with a small child. My husband and I stayed here for one week with our 6 month old son. If they fix their entertainment and food maybe we would. They claimed to have a pool/foam party one day which turned out to be only a foam party in a blow out pool next to the actual pool.nIf you want nice calm getaway with mediocre food this place would be great, we definitely won’t return but I can’t say we had horrible time. The entertainment during the day was also so so. We sat at a bar most nights sweating bc there was no ac. ![]() The only party place is outside of the resort, coco bongo night club which will cost you around 100$ per person. It was very disappointing because there was nothing to do for people between 25-60. We were there for 6 nights and they had 2 karaoke nights, Mexican folklore, magic night, band night. Entertainment: the entertainment staff is great but the actual entertainment sucks. The beach has barely any chairs unless you are under the umbrella. The cabana chairs are very old and most of them are ripped or dirty. Beach was also always clean but you only had small area to swim because of the danger of the waves. The resort is not huge it’s a perfect size and I would say it’s very family oriented. You also get one rooms service per day if you get more it’s 15$ per rooms service. The Asian restaurant has hibachi, you have to mention you want hibachi at the reservation. Make sure you make restaurant reservations the day you arrive for 3 nights ahead. The portions are so small that everyone we talked to said they had to go eat elsewhere after, to us the food was inedible. ![]() The restaurants have pretty good food besides the Asian. The buffet has very small variety and food isn’t great, we have been to Mexico and DR and we can’t even compare the food. Food: 1 buffet, Italian, Mexican and Asian restaurant. The shower has a space between the floor and glass so when you shower all water comes out. Bathrooms are a nightmare ! You can’t go to the toilet without squeezing in between shower and the toilet. Rooms: we paid for ocean view which turned out to be a small view between palm trees. Right after check in you get send to the “promotion people” which was a waste of time.n3. Check in was easy, you do pay daily taxes which came to 11$ for 6 nights 2 people. Airport to the resort cost us 35$ for a shuttle( after we were offered private taxi for 60$)n2. nThis resort had 4.6 rating plus was in the hotel zone so I figured it would be great. This review is for people like me who don’t know which review to believe and want all possible information about the resort. For convenience, it would be easier to do it with a phone or a QR code.nnI will definitely be back again. there's an office for reservations that must be made in person. It would be nice to make restaurant reservations more efficient. 10/10nnWhat can be improved? Im very happy with this hotel and I always like giving my opinion as feedback to improve. 10/10nnLocation: Close to clubs, bars in the hotel zone. Just to name a few: Gym, Spa, butler service, sauna, pools, games. They will go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. Food rating 8.5/10nnService: I can't complain. I have been to Cancun multiple times and Grand Park Royal does rank highly when it comes to food. Sometimes resort slack on the food when it's all Inclusive. I would say as a whole the food is great. 10/10 cleanliness.nnLet's get to the food: There are four all inclusive restaurants in the hotel. The staff clean the rooms all the time, even when not asked. ![]()
